Classroom expectations (regarding academics and behavior):
- Show effort in learning
- Listen and respect others as they speak
- Work cooperatively in groups
- Display growth in language development

Remedies and/or consequences that I will use if there are indications this child is falling short of expectations:
- The teacher will reaffirm what is expected of the student.
- A thinking time “away” from the group for negative behavior.
- Parents will be informed and help will be enlisted from parents to encourage better performance from their child.
- Individual help for each child not reaching academic expectations.
- Suggestions will also be given to help at home.

Parents may follow the following procedure when communications with the teacher is needed:
- Phone call between 8:30 and 3:30
- Teachers may not be interrupted while teaching or supervising the class.
- A message may be left with the office personnel.
- Teachers will return your call.
- It is often more convenient to just place a note in your child’s bookbag in the morning.
