2nd Qtr.

- Prepare and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Advent, Christmas

Language Arts
- Phonics, comprehension skills, nouns (proper, common, singular, plural, and possessive), verbs, develop the writing process, spelling, introduction to cursive writing (lowercase letters only)

Math
- Strategies to make ten, relationship between addition and subtraction, place value to one hundred, memorize math facts

3rd Qtr.

Religion
- Catholic Schools Week activities, Lent, prepare for the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, Easter, study the Mass

Language Arts
- Phonics, comprehension skills, sequencing, classifying, adjectives, using the writing process (make a class book), spelling, develop cursive writing (names in cursive)

Math
- Place value to one thousand, two-digit addition and subtraction with and without regrouping, memorize math facts

4th Qtr.

Religion
- Receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, study the Mass

Language Arts
- Phonics, comprehension skills, pronouns, adverbs, using the writing process ( writing a friendly letter, writing a report), spelling, develop cursive writing

Math
- Three-digit addition and subtraction with and without regrouping, time, money, measurement, geometry, memorization of math facts
