This is the first of the memos you will receive from me each month. I hope you find this information helpful, especially the information about our upcoming Curriculum Nights.

 

1.                  Curriculum Nights (babysitting available)

Grades 6-8                                       Thursday, September 11           7:00 p.m.

Grades K, 2 & Mrs. Ruwe              Thursday, September 18           7:00 p.m.

Grades 1, 3, 5, Mrs. Massarelli    Thursday, September 25           7:00 p.m.

 

The Curriculum Night for Grades 6-8 will be a chance for you to follow your child’s schedule, meet his/her teachers and learn about the curriculum and class procedures and expectations. 

·        Please report to your child’s homeroom at 7:00 p.m. 

·        You will receive a copy of his/her schedule. 

·        Each class period will be 10 minutes long. We will finish by 8:30 p.m.

 

For the Curriculum Nights on September 18 and 25, parents should assemble in the gym at 7:00 p.m.

·        The Art, Music and P.E. teachers will be there to give you a brief overview of the curriculum and their procedures and expectations.

·        At approximately 7:25, parents will go to their child’s homeroom for that teacher’s presentation.

·        These 2 nights will end by 8:00 p.m.

 

2.                  Webgrader user names and passwords were mailed home today to parents having children in grades 4-8. These will enable parents to access their child’s grades online. Please contact Rita Conti, Tech Coordinator, if you have any difficulty in logging onto the Webgrader site.

 

Reminder: Do not use the Webnotes option to e-mail teachers. This option does not allow teachers to reply to your e-mail. A list of teachers e-mail addresses is included in the Webgrader information mailed today.

 

3.                  MARK YOUR CALENDAR

·        September 10 – Boy Scout meeting for grades 1-5, 7:00 p.m. in cafeteria

·        September 17 – Magazine Sale Kick-off

·        September 26 – Interims go home

·        October 1-17 – Terra Nova Testing

·        October 3 – Picture Day
